I staden där hockey är religion och målvakten Halak för närvarande är Jesus är hockey en stadsangelägenhet. Så när gårdagens sjunde (!) match mot Washington Capitals tog Canadiens vidare till kvartsfinal i Stanley cup firade hela staden. Otaliga var de canadiens-tröjor jag såg i morgonrusningen och lika otaliga var de flaggor som prydde stadens bilar. För att inte tala om bussarna som i stället för linjenummer dagen till ära visade texten "Felicitations Canadiens".
In the country where hockey is religion and the goalie Halak for now is Jesus, hockey is not taken lightly. So when yesterday's seventh (!) game against the Washington Capitals resulted in Canadiens moving on to the quarter finals of Stanley cup, the whole city celebrated. I cannot count the number of Canadiens jerseys I saw in the morning rush hour or the number of flags on people's cars. Last but not least the city's buses today, instead of showing the line number, signalled "Felicitations Canadiens".
